I love simple and easy things we can do to boost overall health. One of them is to drink lemon water.

What do you get when you drink a bit of lemon juice in water?

- a boost of Vitamin C;

- inflammation reduction;

- help in digestion and detoxification;

- stimulates the enzyme function of the liver;

- clearer skin; and

- may help in weight loss.

The best time to drink lemon water is first thing in the morning. Squeeze the lemon into a cup of warm water and enjoy first thing in the morning. You will start to feel a difference right away, especially if you miss a day.

⚡️Hydration. ⚡️Detoxification. ⚡️Nutrition.
Simply mix chia seeds (1 tbs) with coconut water (2 cups). Use regular water if you don't like coconut water. Let sit in fridge for 10-15 minutes and then consume. Optional - add Slice of 🍋 lemon.
This is a great snack choice between meals.
Chia seeds are full of omega-3 fats, which are good for for promoting a healthy heart ❤️ AND reducing inflammation.

Have you heard of matcha tea? It's a green tea that is said to have three times the antioxidants of regular green tea. Good stuff, eh? It also helps to support memory, boost metabolism (winning!) and increase immunity. 

I want to introduce you to a delicious way to prepare matcha tea. I discovered this recipe a few years ago and have reintroduced it into my routine recently as I've gone off coffee as part of an elimination diet. 

I have adapted the recipe from the following website: http://www.mahdimd.com/blog/morning-mojo-in-a-cup-the-1-minute-metabolism-boosting-beverage. Definitely have a read this for the great benefits of all the ingredients.


- 1.5 cup water

- 1 tsp organic matcha powder

- 1 tsp cinnamon

- 1-2 tsp cocao butter

- 1 tsp vanilla

Place all ingredients into a saucepan, cook until hot and cacao butter is melted. Pour into a cup and enjoy!

  • Are a fantastic source of plant-based protein? (+/- 8 grams/cup)

  • Have phytonutrients for anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits?

  • Are high in fiber, which aids digestion, weight loss and regulates blood sugar.

Below is a quick and easy recipe for peas (pictured).

- one teaspoon coconut oil

- one cup green peas (frozen, fresh, etc.)

- 1/8 teaspoon turmeric

- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 

- sea salt (to taste)
